Draughn High School CCP student reminder graphic in black and gold. A Term and 16-week college classes begin August 17. Students should make sure they can access their accounts and know where to be on the first day. Students who have not touched base this summer should email Mr. Cook as soon as possible. Students enrolled in multiple courses must sign in and complete the attendance quiz or they will be marked as a no-show. No-show students cannot add an A Term or 16-week course and will be placed in whatever high school courses remain available. Reminder for Wildcat Students & Families as we begin the 26-27 school year:

As we begin the new school year, please take a moment to review the Burke County Public Schools Cell Phone Policy.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe, focused, and distraction-free learning environment where every Wildcat can ELEVATE!

Square graphic with a black, gold, and white design promoting the Burke County Public Schools cell phone policy. The headline reads, "Cell Phones @ School" with the tagline, "Know the Rules. Stay Focused. Wildcats Rise." The graphic outlines four key expectations: (1) No cell phones or communication devices may be used during instructional time. (2) Students must place phones in their teacher-designated storage area, such as a phone pocket or holder, upon entering class. (3) Cell phones may be used during lunch and between classes but are prohibited in restrooms and locker rooms. (4) Students who need to make an emergency call home should speak with their teacher first. The graphic features the Burke County Public Schools logo, a Wildcat mascot, phone and classroom icons, and concludes with the message, "Thank you for helping us keep our schools focused and disruption-free!" along with the school theme, "ELEVATE: Learning. Leadership. Results."

Parents of Student-Athletes,

This year, we are transitioning away from paper athletic packets and will be using DragonFly to manage all required athletic forms.

We appreciate your patience as we make this change. DragonFly is a new system for us as well, so there will be a learning curve as we work through the process. Our hope is that once everything is in place, it will make completing and tracking required forms much easier for everyone.

Our goal is to have all student-athletes registered and approved in DragonFly before the first day of fall sports practice on July 29.

Thank you for your patience and support as we make this transition! For specific questions, Please reach out to Brian Lowman/AD at blowman@burke.k12.nc.us or call the school office.

Reminder to our SENIORS . . .
4 months ago, Charles Williams
A black, gold, and white Facebook graphic reminds the Class of 2027 about senior portraits. The headline reads, "Seniors, A Reminder..." followed by "Class of 2027 Senior Portraits will be July 15 & 16!" The graphic reminds students that they have received an email with their specific portrait appointment time and encourages them to check their email. It explains that if the scheduled time conflicts with vacation, work, sports, transportation, or another commitment, students should contact TPS Photography at service@tpsphotography.com as soon as possible to reschedule. Students who cannot attend either summer date will be scheduled for the fall make-up day, but they are encouraged to notify TPS Photography so their appointment can be given to another senior. The graphic also includes a link to the Class of 2027 Senior Portrait Information Booklet for additional details and notes that questions can be directed to service@tpsphotography.com. Decorative elements include a graduation cap, camera and email icons, a "Class of 2027" banner, and a motivational sign that reads, "Your Story. Your Year. Make It Count."
