The 2016-2017 Drama club present Agatha Christie's The Mysterious Affair at Styles, adapted by David Hansen, on Thursday, March 23rd and Friday, March 24th! The club was proud to present the "First-Ever" production at Draughn High school. Thank you to the students who gave of their time and talent! Great job!
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Tim Spain will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at Draughn High School. The body will lie in state at Heritage Funeral Service on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Mr. Spain has been a great asset to DHS as a charter member of the faculty. He will be sorely missed by the entire Draughn Wildcat family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this most difficult time.
Fun Fact: She plays the banjo, and entertains her students on occasion with a tune.
Congratulations to English Teacher Laura Cook who has been selected by her peers as the DHS Teacher of the Year!Mrs. Cook is in her 4th year of teaching and received her Bachelor's Degree in English from Western Carolina University. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching students learn and realize that they can be successful in a subject they have struggled with.
Congratulations to our Wildcats as they joined the other Burke County and represented us in the Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary Parade. They traveled to Hawaii and enjoyed the sites and culture Dec. 2nd - Dec. 9th.
