Congratulations to English Teacher Laura Cook who has been selected by her peers as the DHS Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Cook is in her 4th year of teaching and received her Bachelor's Degree in English from Western Carolina University.  Her favorite thing about teaching is watching students learn and realize that they can be successful in a subject they have struggled with.

Fun Fact:  She plays the banjo, and entertains her students on occasion with a tune.

They all had a great time and really enjoyed this college experience.
